Apple May Be Working On A Self-Driving Electric Car

We’re still a ways faraway from the self driving car, which we feel will create a big boon to mankind, but now reports inform us Apple may be working on 1 as we speak.

According to a variety of reports, including The Verge as well as the Wall Street Journal, there may indeed be an Apple car within the works, which may not view the light of day for years, but Reuters writes which the tech giant has been looking into making their own car, which could drive itself.

As Reuters tells us, “Apple is gathering suggestions about parts and production techniques, focusing on electric and also connected car technologies, while studying the possibility of automated driving. ”

This would be Apple thinking ahead towards the future, where automated cars might be commonplace. The company will not really confirm or deny any of these reports, which they’ve ignored as rumors, but we wouldn’t become surprised if Apple really wants to be on the forefront of car evolution, a lot like they’ve always strove to become on the forefront of technology.

BTW, if this story is valid, The Wall Street Journal tells us the project is underneath the working title of “Titan, ” and it reportedly looks just like a minivan.
